Late 1940’s to 1953 Photo Album - Part 1


Dale, Elsie and Earl Cann - siblings. This is the start of a large photo album
that my Grandma Alice put together. This time she didn’t include names
of the people here, so I am going to wing it on some

Earla Cann and Gary Fletcher. They were double cousins, but more like brother and sister.
I have always referred to him as my Uncle.

Obituaries for Elizabeth and Jessie Cann


Elizabeth Cann (1879-1911) age 31 which also sounds like pneumonia 



Jessie Cann Lindsey (1884-1912) age 28 of pneumonia. Also great hints of other family members!

William Cann, son of Joseph Irwin and Clemenza - born in 1887. 
These photos might be around 1911. Lizzie Jones is Williams’s daughter

Lizzie Jones, William Cann (long beard) with (do not recognize the name) 
and his father Irwin Cann (b. 1847). Florence is Lizzie’s daughter

Lora Kunz Cann (1877-1939) married Donald Earl Cann (1882-1921) 
parents of Earl, Elsie and Dale. 
Don Cann died of double pneumonia on 15 Dec 1921 at age 39

Jessie Cann Linsey (1884-1912)  and her son Bryce. 
She married Daniel Linsey in 1903. 
Jessie was the youngest of six daughters and died of pneumonia at age 28
Last name is spelled in most records as Lindsey

Irwin with his grandson Russel in 1912 (his birth year) and Aunt Birdie. 
Russel was the son of William and Amelia Jett Cann. 
Bertie never married.
1910 Census: William, Amelia and Bertie lived together. William was a Street Car Conductor and Bertie was a cook in a restaurant. 
1920 Census: Russel lived with Irwin, Clemenza, Frank, and Birdie. 
1930 Census: Frank, age 52 and Birdie, age 45 and nephew Russel, age 18 lived together
